Faith Baptist Church
Provided funds for Faith Baptist Church to . . .
·Further the ministry of a church plant in Chantente
·Build a new church auditorium for the Chantente church plant
Many years ago, the Lord allowed us to meet Phil Hunt, a missionary to Africa since 1992. Phil had a huge heart for planting churches in Africa run by national pastors, who could then be trained to go and plant more nationally-run churches. The Lord quickly knit our hearts together and we have supported Phil and his ministry since then. Phil has since helped plant several churches in Zambia, which have now been able to start church plants in other parts of the country.
Recently, we learned of a church plant in need of financial aid while Phil was on furlough in the States. Kakolo Faith Baptist Church in Kitwe, Zamiba, pastored by Pastor Edward Mwanisa, is one of the church plants from the original church Phil helped start. Pastor Edward realized his church body was growing, but many were walking over 1.5 hours to attend services. He was burdened to plant a church in Chantente so that a growing group of believers there could attend services closer to where they lived. The Lord has used this burden to raise a need for a church auditorium in Chantente.
Paraklete Ministries was able to send funds to Faith Baptist Church to be used for the new church auditorium build in Chantente. The project is already underway as the foundation has been built and the concrete slab for the structure has been poured. Currently, the body of believers in Chantente is being pastored by Royce Bwalya (pictured right with family) who loves the ministry and the people of the church. We are humbled to be a part of such a project for this body of believers and are so grateful to you who have given generously to the Lord's work! We pray for continued safety and success in this church build and we look forward to sharing more progress as the building takes shape.
