India  2016

Pastoral Training School

·Continued translation work

·National pastor training using translated curriculum

2016 proved to be a fruitful year for the training school with the use of the translated curriculum in sessions.  Paraklete sent funds for both the continuation of the translation work and further training using the curriculum.  These efforts will make lasting impact, for now and all eternity.

January

Translation

With this round of curriculum wrapping up, Paraklete sent the finances needed to finalize this language's books for training.  These books are made for the pastors to take home to their churches and families as a foundation for sharing God's Word.  The pastors were very excited to receive these books, adding to their "tool belts" of ministry alongside Scripture.

Training

Paraklete also provided the way for the pastors to attend training.  Many of these men would not be able to make it to training on their own salaries, whether paid by the church or a secular job.  But through the Lord's generosity on our ministry, we have the privilege to pave the way for these men and women to sharpen themselves and each other in His Word.

India 2015

Pastoral Training School

·Nationals training nationals

·No cost to each pastor

This year, Paraklete funded a completely national training session of the pastoral training school.  We were able to provide for each pastor's travel, food, housing, and financial gift for their church, covering all expenses for the pastors or their supporting churches.  Men from the area led the sessions in a national-on-national focus, unadulterated by American culture or the need for translators to deliver the teaching.

The training school has developed greatly, with more and more Christian men and women seeking to learn from God's Word.  Through God's leading and direction, we are seeing His Word not returning void as these brothers and sisters in Christ take what they have learned and teach others.  Heaven alone will show the fruits of this labor.

Along with the training school, the development and equipping of national pastors to teach other nationals is hugely impactful.  Teachers from one's own nationality, language, and culture increase the efficiency of learning that translators and cultural studies just cannot achieve.  We pray the Lord continues to work on these leaders' hearts to remain teachable to His Word as they train others to do to the same.

India 2014

Pastoral Training School

·Face-to-face training

·Sent money to start translation work

·Sent money for further pastoral training

On our second face-to-face training trip to India, we made new friends and began new projects to develop the training school.  As on our first trip, we and our fellow national pastors ventured overseas and from all corners of the country to meet together and learn from God's Word, funded by Paraklete Ministries.  Paraklete also sent money to begin work on translating curriculum taught by the national pastors for national pastors.

February

PTS Trip

While we were in India, we traveled to meet several new bodies of believers, training and teaching as we went what it means to develop the Lord's church and how to make disciples.  Time after time, we were convicted in our own walks with the Lord as we witnessed the hunger and thirst for righteousness these men have for God and His work. Truly, this is a nation searching for God and His salvation, of which Christians have the truth!

March

Translation

Paraklete also sent money to begin work on translating curriculum for the training school into major languages of the local pastors.  India has an incredibly challenging lanugage barrier, consisting of 23 major languages out of 415 total, with over 700 dialects.  For this reason, Paraklete sent financing for work on these translations to develop.

October

Training

Paraklete additionally sent funding for training above what we were able to do on this trip.  The nationals we trained were now able to train others, but needed the financing to do so.  We provided these funds so the work could continue, without the aid of American pastors or training. We are excited as the Lord continues to develop this country as a bright light for Him.

India 2013

Pastoral Training School

·FellowshiPped with fellow believers

·Encouraged one another in the faith

·Trained national pastors in Bible study and church growth

Paraklete's first trip to India was a great encouragement, not only to us but also to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ in India!  We, and many national pastors hungry for the teaching of God's Word, traveled from far and wide to be a part of the Pastoral Training School in India.  These training opportunities seek to equip nationals in the development of God's local church around the world, whether through face-to-face training or donations for curriculum to be created and taught.

This trip was face-to-face, life-on-life training as we were able to make the 24-hour journey to teach and learn from the national pastors in India.  As we traveled, so did the pastors from their villages, towns, and cities, as Paraklete paid the way for each pastor's travel, housing, and food during the training, as well as offered a financial gift for each to take back to his church.  Through much struggle to arrive, we were all united together to learn and study God's Word.

Not only was this trip a time of teaching and training, but also a time of fellowship and encouragement.  Following the Lord and teaching His Word in any situation can be difficult, especially when such a belief is not widely accepted in one's country.  Many of these men have chosen a difficult path, being shunned by family, friends, and countrymen to share the Gospel and train other Christians.  We walked away challenged by these pastors' fervor to please God and can only imagine the masses of souls in Heaven won because of their passion for the Lord.
